The Worst Roofing Job Ever! This Tops Anything I have Seen in 25 Years of Roofing

Video link you can share:

– (In this video Drew was asked to Inspect a roof after there were things that looked funny from the ground. Drew Went up on the roof and this is what he found. Shingles that the nails were shoot threw the shingles and will never hold up to the wind we have in our area. We live in SE NC and the wind is bad a lot threw the yr. We have to deal with bad storms and that is the reason this roof had to be done in the first place.

I appreciate the video but not sure if telling people to hire local is the best answer. There are horrible roofers everywhere. The crew that did this roof I’m sure have done roofs that’s local to them. I say do homework. Get references. Listen to how they talk. I do more roofs out of town than local. Most of the time I’m out bid because local crews here will go low bc most people go with the cheapest estimate. You get what you pay for. Good quality work is to be respected, not a location on a map. I take the upmost pride in my job and always make sure it’s done right the first time. Can’t tell you how many roofs I have replaced or fixed locally and out of town. Love your videos! It’s nice to know there are roofers who care as much as we do

Drew’s Roofing & Home Repair I don’t think you should look at it like that. When you hire a roofing company, you never want them to come back. If it’s done right you won’t need them

I have never understood going with the lowest bidder. I specifically AVOID the lowest bidder most of the time, because where are they cutting corners? I want good work and I’m willing to pay for it.

We need to teach the roofers how to adjust there nail guns and make sure to use there nail guns properly its very important on how the air gun is shooting into the shingles especially when the weather is hot

If someone is building anything for anyone and charging money for it, I would hope they would know the basics such as adjusting their guns. Unfortunately many people that hire contractors don’t know the right questions to ask. I would say forget the roofers, if they cant even adjust air pressure they don’t need to be roofing. what we need to do is teach customers what to look for when hiring a contractor.

With any potential customer I actually tell them even if they don’t hire me for what ever reason, these are the things you look for and ask when hiring a contractor. Unfortunately a lot of customers will take the lowest bid and never research beyond the price.

thunderbird97 They nailed the ridge vent down on the ends and some in the middle mostly just the ends and then they used gun nails inch and a quarter to nail the ridge caps on stupid I don’t understand what I was thinking
