Leave a comment if you have used cougar paws and what you think about them. If your thinking of getting some but have a question about the boots let me know.
Thanks for that information brother!
Will look into those boots for sure! I took a fall about a year ago from a 12/12 and broke my foot in a gazillion pcs . You can’t make money nursing broken bones. Be safe !
The cougar paws are a great boot on 12/12 I use them installing Christmas lighting they grip really good

hello Brian, Thanks for your concern, it healed up pretty good but don’t have the flexibility I used to have. My Spider-Man skills are not the same but I’m glad to be walking and Super glad to be alive. It took a full year to recover from that fall. I’ve got screws and plates in my left foot now. I do things a lot more cautiously now when I’m up on any roof especially the 12/12s . Be safe and Thanks for asking, and the scoop on the cougar paws boots.
Thank you! I hope it healed fully for you! How has it healed, are you back to work?
Consider more safety equipment than paws. One loose shingle and away you go.
True, but every extra piece of safety equipment lowers the risk.
Safety gear is for beginners
Roofingdoneright44 then came Covid – 19. Now we ar world how to live our lives
I disagree. Throw a rope up and over. Harness up and tie off to a post or truck to put initial tie downs on.
@Glenn Lienhop that’s what chicken ladders are for.
These shoes work great. Bought them for my whole crew. BUT if you step on a loose shingle or lots of loose grit you can still slide. You also need to be careful not to put too much sideways pressure on them. The pad can roll off from the boot. Harness up on 2 story 6/12+ or 1 story 10/12+
Your exhibition of these on a 12/12 had me sold. Just bought my first pair
Having fell off a roof and becoming disabled, I know I should never have worked on a roof without a safety harness tie off system. I’ll never work again because I was stupid.
We use scaffolds in England
More to that story please
This video gave me anxiety.
DON’T DO IT!!!! I got away with it for 40 years until one day…. now I’m lucky to be alive but I’ll never be able to work again. DON’T DO IT!!!!
..great!
All you need now is Cougar Pants! Sit down comfortably any time, LOL
Lol. You ain’t even lying ?
I even have the underwear. You can never be too safe
Love mine, I have a pair for metal and shingles
Promote the good products and keep making new ones. Go Grand Roofing! ?
I can’t walk a 12/12 I usually use ladder jacks and tie off
I almost fell off a steep roof today, my adidas are no cougar paws! I’m still shook lol
Hopefully you weren’t injured and okay?
Be careful! I know some people that have gotten permanently jacked up from falling off a roof. Make sure you use safety equipment if needed.
So Brave Guy !! Please be careful !!! God Bless you !!!
I use them and they work pretty good but I don’t trust them on a 12/12 like you do. Anything over 10/12 I’m not walking on period!
Love them. Great video
Thanks for the video.
I don’t see a link for the cougar paws?
Sweet I’m gonna look into these boots, I always use skateboard shoes they seem to grip pretty good
Great Video, Thank U – I’m painting my house and need to get up on the roof to set up some pump jack poles among other “stuff” I gotta do up there and I’ve been studying up on ANYTHING That’ll help me out up there and I’m Grateful I came across this vid on cougar paws. I’d think cougar paws should endorse this vid as a commercial for them, I’ve seen all kinds of stuff but U up there walking everywhere really Proves the Point! Thanks Bud! Appreciate very much the Helpful Info! B Safe
Paul Vaughan no problem anytime, thanks for watching! The cougar Paws definitely add to the safety, but do not guarantee your safety. If you get and use them just don’t get too comfortable and think you can do anything with them.
To all you roofers out there; you are made of the same stuff iron workers are; you have a unique sense of balance that most of us don’t; but be careful and God bless; I don’t know how you do it !!
I work in roofing but the iron workers are something else!
